Information a Visitor Provides
A name, location, or other term entered into a search widget is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Dooly County Busted Mugshots does not control that provider's retention, pricing, results, or privacy practices and does not store or log those search terms on its own systems merely because the widget was displayed.
If a visitor sends an email or message, the message may include the contact details supplied with it and the contents needed to answer. Those messages are kept for response and recordkeeping and are not shared outside the operating organization unless disclosure is needed to comply with law, protect rights, or address a security issue.
Technical Data and Cookies
Normal page delivery can generate technical information such as an IP address, browser and device type, operating-system details, referring page, requested URL, date and time, and basic error or performance data. Hosting, security, analytics, and advertising providers may process some of those details under their own agreements.
Cookies or similar storage may be used to understand broad page use, remember a preference, support a search partner, or measure advertising. Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Blocking them may change how some features behave, but it does not turn the Dooly County Sheriff, Dooly County Jail, Georgia courts, or the Georgia Department of Corrections into data custodians for this private service.
How Information Is Used
Information may be used to:
- deliver and secure the pages;
- respond to a message;
- measure traffic and correct technical problems;
- understand which official record links are useful;
- administer referrals, advertising, and partner tools; and
- meet legal, fraud-prevention, or safety obligations.
The pages point readers toward sources such as Sheriff Craig Peavy's DCSO detention page, the Dooly court clerk, and the GDC Dooly County Jail entry. Clicking an outside link moves the visitor under that destination's policies.
Links to Other Services
Pages may link to sheriff and city offices, court portals, the Georgia Department of Corrections, federal locators, news outlets, archives, and third-party search tools. The DCSO contact page, the Vienna Police page, and the Georgia Open Government FAQ are outside services with their own security and privacy rules. Dooly County Busted Mugshots is not responsible for their content, uptime, data handling, or changes.
Advertising partners may use cookies or similar tools to recognize activity across sites for ad measurement or targeted ads on their own systems. Their notices control that processing.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold as a standalone mailing list. Information may nevertheless be available to:
- hosting, security, analytics, and technical vendors;
- search partners when a visitor uses their widget;
- advertising or measurement networks;
- professional advisers who need it to provide services; and
- law-enforcement or government authorities when required by a valid legal order or other lawful process.
Some public pages link to the Dooly County Sheriff's Office or court records, but a message sent here is not an Open Records request to those agencies. A request for a booking record must go to the originating custodian.
Security Limits
Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are used for information under the operator's control. No internet-connected service is fully secure, and no promise can be made that a transmission, vendor, or device will never be compromised. Do not send unnecessary sensitive identifiers in a message.
Visitors Under 18
The pages are intended for adults. The operator does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted personal information, a parent or guardian may send a deletion request through the Contacts address, with enough detail to locate the message without sending more sensitive information than needed.
Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law, a visitor may ask what personal information is held, request correction or deletion, withdraw a consent where consent is the basis, object to certain processing, or ask for a copy of information that can reasonably be associated with the request. Identity may need to be verified, and a legal exception may limit a response. Browser cookie controls remain available for local storage and some advertising tools.
Send a clear request through Contacts. Requests about a Dooly County booking, court record, or jail photo must go to DCSO, the city agency, the clerk, or GDC because this service does not possess those official records.
Changes to This Notice
This Privacy Notice may be revised when the service, vendors, law, or data practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. A visitor should review the notice before sending a message or using a third-party search tool.
